Kate & Andy – Intimate Black Barn River Rooms Wedding
Kate and Andy were married at The Black Barn River Room at the end of last year — an intimate day made all the more special by the distance some guests travelled to be there.
Set in the hills above the Tuki Tuki Valley, looking across to the East face of Te Mata Peak, the River Room suits couples planning something small and considered. Black Barn also offers several boutique accommodation options nearby – Kate and Andy chose both Riverside Lodge 1 and Poplars 7, two very different homes just ten minutes apart.
After the ceremony, we returned to Poplars 7 for bridal portraits – a striking, modern, editorial setting in its own right.
One of the advantages of a Hawke’s Bay wedding is having the variety of amazing backdrops sitting within easy reach of one another – beautiful hillsides, stunning gardens, pools, and even a handful of spectacular driveways.
