Edinburgh Couples Photographer | Anniversary Session in Leith & Circus Lane
Edinburgh Couples Photographer in Leith
Scotland had long been on the list. While the North Coast 500 will have to wait, this trip called for something slower, exploring Edinburgh with close friends who happened to be celebrating their anniversary.
There’s something special about photographing a couples session in a city you’re discovering together. It becomes less about posing and more about movement. Coffee stops, coastal air, a quick cocktail, laughter echoing down cobbled streets. The kind of moments that feel effortless but hold weight.
We spent most of the afternoon in Leith, Edinburgh’s character-filled waterfront neighbourhood. Historic stone buildings, tucked-away bars, old engineering warehouses now re-imagined as creative spaces. It’s relaxed, textured, and quietly cinematic. A perfect setting for an Edinburgh couples session that feels natural and unforced.
We finished in Circus Lane, one of the most iconic streets in the city. Ivy climbing across old facades, colourful flower pots lining doorways, cobbles underfoot. It’s romantic without being overdone. Classic Edinburgh, but still intimate.
This anniversary session wasn’t about grand gestures. It was about documenting a season, in a city that rewards you for slowing down long enough to notice it. Sessions like this are why I spend part of each year photographing couples across the UK and Europe, capturing modern love stories wherever they take me.
