It was a little touch and go for Sarah & Max’s wedding day. The weather had turned the day before but the good news was that Sarah & Max wanted to do their photos before the wedding. The first look was perfect – sheltered in a gully and hidden by loads of trees but when we headed to the iconic Te Mata Peak it was a case of working fast before the cloud (which moved at an ominous rate!) engulfed the top of the Peak and Sarah & Max with it! As it turned out, it couldn’t have been more perfect. It was like having your own little Island in a vast sea of rolling cloud. The rain stayed away until the first kiss, pushing people indoors to celebrate with Max’s own personally brewed beer (yes, that label is all his own handy work!) and glasses of champagne.
For a day that teetered on being a washout (literally) Sarah, Max and their entire bridal party were absolute troopers and we had so much fun. These guys are what my wedding photography dreams are made of!
