I love photo album’s. I’ve been known to sit for hours and trawl through family photo album’s. I’m not sure what it is about them that fascinates me – the evolution of families and people, and maybe the fact that I’ve never met some of these people but we’re connected; through time, through place, through blood. Or the photos that Mum made us pose for when we were kids and how the look on our faces tells the story of our impatience – we had way better things to be doing than standing around for a photo! Or Mum & Dad’s wedding album … it was the 70’s and Dad thought wearing a brown suit would be a great idea?! Mum’s wedding dress was pink and handmade by her mother … but it’s these memories that have become an heirloom for us and their grandchildren to enjoy. And I guess that is why every time one of my couples orders an album I get excited! Not only is it a wonderful way to show off their photos but it will be an heirloom for generations to come.
This particular leather bound photo album was for Mei & Joshua who came all the way from Singapore to have their Pre-Wedding shoot in Auckland and on Waiheke Island. We spent two days with Mei & Joshua and had such an amazing time (I promise to blog their session in the no-to-distant future!), there were loads of laughs and a little bit of sunburn and all of this is showcased in the beautiful Queensberry photo album we made for them. Here are just a few photos of just how gorgeous this album is.
