Stacey & Chris are from Palmerston North and have fallen in love with Hawke’s Bay for all sorts of reasons (which I’m super happy about!) and so, have decided to get married here later in the year. Their engagement session came at the end of wedding season, so the days were getting shorter, the weather was beginning to be a little more irratic and the air was noticeably cooler at the end of the day. But we had decided whatever came of the day we would shoot then and I’m so glad we did! It just so happened (as you will see) that the day was a stunning autumn day filled with loads of sunshine and blue skies for as far as the eye could see! As a photographer you want the best vibe you can right from the start so your couples feel comfortable and hopefully relaxed so they can just be themselves in front of your lens, but with Stacey & Chris, I swear they almost forgot I was there! They seriously had a magical energy about them that was just wonderful to be around! I had the best time with these guys, and so many good laughs! As I mentioned earlier, the weather that time of year becomes a little more fickle and as we headed to Te Mata Peak the clouds were gathering and trying their best to block out the sun. We managed to grab a little bit of time in some spectacular light at Te Mata Peak and I’m sure all of us came away from the session just buzzing! I am so hyped for Stacey & Chris’ wedding later this year – it is going to be amazing!
